Family Treatment and Rehabilitation

University Behavioral Associates’ Family Treatment and Rehabilitation Program is a preventive program funded by the NYC Administration for Children Services dedicated to providing comprehensive child-centered, family-focused and strengths based services to high-risk families. The program is designed to address the safety and well-being of children and families impacted by mental health and/or substance abuse concerns, with the ultimate goal of supporting families whose children are at-risk for foster care placement.

UBA Family Treatment and Rehabilitation Program Services:

  • Comprehensive evaluations by clinical psychologists for adults and children
  • Referrals to community based resources, such as:
    • Mental Health Services (e.g. individual/family counseling for adults and children)
    • Substance Abuse Treatment
    • Healthcare Services
    • Domestic Violence Services and Resources
    • Educational Services
    • Childcare Services
  • Case management and support services:
    • A case manager who can help you access needed services
    • Weekly case management contacts
    • Weekly home visits
    • Ongoing support from your case manager and the UBA team throughout your time in the program
  • Family Team Conferences
    • Regularly scheduled meetings with families to discuss their progress, revise their service plan, and develop new goals
