Regional Partnership Grant

The Regional Partnership Grant is a federally funded project by the Children's Bureau and is a collaborative project between Montefiore Medical Center and the NYC Association for Children's Services.  The RPG Project is designed to evaluate and improve the quality of care offered to families with parents who have substance abuse issues and involvement in the child welfare system, with the ultimate goal of improving child welfare outcomes in these families.  An additional goal of the project is to improve collaboration and coordination between substance abuse providers, preventative providers, and child welfare agencies working with these families.

What services are provided through the Regional Partnership Grant?

  • Family case management
  • Outpatient substance abuse treatment
  • Parenting courses
  • Trauma-informed treatment
  • Mental health care
  • Employment services
  • Childcare reimbursement
  • Ongoing support throughout the program

In addition to the above-described services, RPG participants are also eligible for monetary payment up to $1500 for attending classes and remaining drug free throughout the course of the 9 month program.

UBA Regional Partnership Grant Eligibility

The Regional Partnership Grant program is for families:

  • With parents who are actively misusing alcohol or substances or who have a history of substance use
  • With children between the ages of 0-18
  • Who reside in the Bronx
  • Who have an open, indicated child welfare case with ACS
  • Who are willing to participate in comprehensive assessment, substance abuse services, and ongoing case management
